On October 22, 2008, Michigan Supreme Court Justice Maura Corrigan spoke to the West Michigan Community about child welfare reform in Michigan. Representatives from state agencies, private agencies, and area colleges, universities, and law schools were present to listen to her remarks and to dialogue with Justice Corrigan. At the end of the evening, The Carter-Alexander Institute presented the 2008 Advocate for Justice Award to Misty M. Davis. Her remarks in acceptance of the award are available here.
